At the invitation of His Excellency François HOLLANDE, President of the French Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife Madam Chantal BIYA paid an official visit to France where he attended the Elysée summit on Peace and Security in Africa on the 6 and 7 December 2013. The First Lady Madam Chantal BIYA participated, alongside about twenty other First Ladies, at a meeting in the Orsay Museum on the fight against sexual violence on women in Africa.
