At the invitation of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, and his wife, Mrs Chantal BIYA, left Yaounde late this morning to attend the Sixth Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, that will be held in Lyon, France, on 9 and 10 October 2019.
President Paul BIYA and First Lady Chantal BIYA returned to Cameroon on Friday 5 July 2019 after a two-week private stay in Europe. Millions of people gathered along the Head of State’s itinerary – the Nsimalen International Airport to the Unity Palace – to ensure a grand homecoming to the Presidential Couple.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and his wife Mrs Chantal BIYA, left Yaounde on 23 June 2019, for a short private stay in Europe.
The population of the Far North Region has reiterated its firm support to Paul BIYA’s candidacy. This was during a mega CPDM campaign rally organised on 29 September 2018 in Maroua.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA has endorsed the Beijing Declaration and a three-year action plan adopted at the end of the third summit of Heads of State and Government of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). The Head of State made the announcement during the first high-level roundtable chaired by President Xi JINPING on 4 September 2018 at the Great Hall of the People.
Eight major initiatives will henceforth guide the 18-year-old multilateral cooperation between China and Africa, under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). President Xi JINPING – co-chair of the 2018 Summit of Heads of State and Government announced on 3 September in the Great Auditorium of the Great Hall of the People.
Cameroon's 47-year-old diplomatic ties with the People's Republic of China has witnessed a major boost. This is the outcome of a high-level meeting between President Paul BIYA and His Excellency Xi JINPING on 31 August 2018 in Beijing.
