First Lady Chantal BIYA received a Special Price for her support to culture during the 10th edition of the award ceremonies organised by Canal 2 International at the Yaoundé Conference Centre.

In a highly symbolic gesture of the significance of culture to the First Lady, Madam Chantal BIYA took part in the ceremony that was organised to celebrate excellence in Cameroonian culture, and she stayed there till the early hours of the morning. She was accompanied by several high ranking women, including the wives of Senators and Members of the National Assembly and several members of Government.

Following the several good gestures of the First Lady to musicians and other artist in Cameroon and her humanitarian work as the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Madam Chantal BIYA was handed a Special Price by Madam Colette CHATUE, the president of the organising committee of the award ceremony.

The evening was graced with music by several artists, notably Ange Ebogo Emerant, Marole Tchamba, Mani Bella and Coco Argentée.
