Mrs. Chantal BIYA was guest of honour at the 2017 edition of the Miss Cameroon beauty pageant, which was organised by the Miss Cameroon Committee (COMICA) at the Yaounde Congress Centre on 30 December.
The First Lady crowned 22-year-old Aimée Caroline Nseke – an administrative law student in Switzerland, as the beauty queen. Miss Aimée Nseke who took over from Miss Akomo Minkata, announced that she will devote herself to the fight against blindness.
Ashu Arrah and Angue Evina finished as the first and second runners up respectively. 24 young girls, selected from the ten regions, contested in this year’s competition that showcased Cameroon’s diversity and unity.
