Glamour, creativity, and sartorial excellence converged on Saturday, 30 May 2026, at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde, as Cameroon's First Lady, Mrs. Chantal BIYA, honoured the Gala Night of the 17th edition of the Fashion, Design and Crafts Forum.

An epitome of refined elegance, Mrs. Chantal BIYA joined distinguished designers, eminent diplomats, international partners, and discerning fashion connoisseurs in a celebration of Cameroonian ingenuity and artisanal mastery.

The week-long event featured a captivating runway presentation that masterfully fused indigenous talent with global signatures, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design.

A highlight of the gala was the presentation of a prestigious €6,000 award to emerging designer Romeo Takeh Dinnyuy by the French Ambassador, in recognition of his remarkable talent.

The evening was further elevated by a scintillating performance from "Dynastie le Tigre", accompanied by the Kemit 7 Orchestra under the baton of Ruben Binam.

Bolstered by steadfast partners, including Laurent Vinay, the event affirmed Cameroon's growing prominence on the global fashion stage.
