The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs Chantal BIYA arrived Paris on Wednsday 21 June 2023 to attend the summit for a new financial pact organised in the French capital. Cameroon’s Ambassador to France Andre Magnus Ekoumou was on hand at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport to welcome them. On hand at the airport grounds was an enthusiastic crowd ready to celebrate the presence of the Presidential Couple in Paris.
The Head of State was taken by motorcade to the Four Seasons Hotel in George V at Avenue downtown Paris, where another elaborate ceremony was organised for them. A bouquet of flowers was presented to the Presidential Couple, who later shook hands with members of the official delegation, the wife of the Ambassador of Cameroon to France and the seniour staff of the Embassy.
The Head of State will in the coming days participate at the summit alongside other world leaders, company managers, civil society actors and major stakehlders in international finance. French President Emmanuel Macron will grace the opening ceremony and later host the attendees to a working dinner in the evening.
