The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BITA arrived Dakar for the 15th Francophonie Summit. The Presidential Couple touched down at the Leopold Sedar Senghor airport at 4 pm and they were recxeived on arrival by the Senegalese President Macky SALL and his wife Mareme FAYE SALL.

On hand to welcome the Presidential Couple at the airport was also Ambassador Jean KOE NTONGA, Cameroon’s Ambassador to Senegal and a host of other officials. A large crowd of Cameroonians living in Senegal turned out in CPDM party regalia to welcome the Presidential Couple. An enthusiastic welcome was also reserved for the Presidential Couple at the King Fahd Complex where they will be staying.

About 40 Heads of State and Governments are expected to attend this session of the summit which will elect a new scribe to replace ABDOU DIOUF who has served the organization for 12 years.
