The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs. Chantal BIYA received a very warm and cordial welcome from the Chadian President Idriss DEBY ITNO and Mrs. Hinda DEBY ITNO at the Hassan Djamouss International Airport in Ndjamena, when they arrived the Chadian capital to attend the CEMAC extraordinary summit.
The Presidential Couple arrived Ndjamena in the late afternoon of 30 October 2017, and despite the hot climate, the Chadian authorities were heavily present at the airport to receive the highly awaited guests. After the execution of the CEMAC anthem and the review of a military guard of honour, President Paul BIYA then greeted long lines of dignitaries who were on hand to welcome the Cameroonian Presidential Couple.
The Cameroonian community came out massively to welcome the Head of State and his wife with songs and dancing. The tempo went into frenzy as President Paul BIYA and Mrs. Chantal BIYA moved on foot to share the moment of patriotic fervour with the crowds. It was with the same jubilation and dancing that the Presidential Couple were received at the Ndjamena Hilton Hotel where they will stay during their visit to Chad.
