The First Lady, Mrs. Chantal BIYA has joined forces with the spouses of African and European leaders to promote the actions of the R20 Green Fund – on women and the green economy. This was during a debate lunch on 29 November 2017; organised by Mrs. Dominique Ouattara – First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, on the sidelines of the 5th African Union and European Union Summit.
Ten African First Ladies, wives of Heads of Government, national and international dignitaries such as Malgorzata Tusk (wife of the President of the European Council) and Michelle Sabban (President of the R20 Green Fund) participated at the Ivoire Golf Club event in Abidjan.
Discussions centred on the theme: “What role can women play in the green economy?”
