Pupils of “Les Coccinelles” school complex received Christmas gifts from their patroness – First Lady Chantal BIYA on 20 December 2018 at the Unity Palace. This was during a tree lighting ceremony that also marked the end of the first term in the 2018/2019 academic year.
The schoolchildren thrilled their benefactress, guests and parents with multiple Christmas carols, a comedy sketch on the goodwill gestures of Father Christmas, and a ballet with traditional beats from the Fang Beti region. Three budding artistes; KO-C, Nabila, and Indira performed too.
The pupils, through their leader, thanked the First Lady for her unconditional love. They also expressed their gratitude to the staff and promised to continuously excel academically.
Mrs. Chantal BIYA, accompanied by some Members of Government and spouses of her husband’s close collaborators, made a tour of all the classrooms and examined the report cards of each pupil with complete satisfaction.
