President Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BIYA received over 12 000 invitees at Unity Palace on 20 May 2015 for the traditional grand reception that is a hallmark of National Day festivities in the Nation’s capital. People from all walks of live jammed full the banquet hall and the gardens of Unity Palace to savour dishes that were a marvellous blend of Cameroonian and African cuisine, in an atmosphere of light hearted discussions and camaraderie.
The tempo moved higher when the Presidential Couple entered the banquet hall at 7 pm. The Head of State and his wife shared good moments with the invitees, greeting some here, sharing a joke with others and generally having a good time with everyone.
President Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BIYA also visited the invitees in the gardens where beautifully decorated tents had been set up for the occasion. Here also, it was the same happy ambiance that thrilled the invitees who turned out this year in really big numbers.
Besides the wide variety of food offered at the reception, there was lots of good soft music to make the evening a really pleasant one.
