The Nigerian Air Force plane touched down at the Yaounde Nsimalen Airport at 11 am on Wednesday 29 July 2015 as President Muhammadu Buhari started a two day friendly and working visit to Cameroon. President Paul BIYA was at the foot of the plane and welcomed his guest with a very warm and friendly accolade. The Nigerian President was then given a bouquet of flowers before receiving military honours, with the execution of the Nigerian and Cameroonian anthems.

The two Heads of State had a brief chat in the Presidential lodge before taking their motorcade for down town Yaounde where President Buhari took up quarters in the plush Hilton Hotel. The population of Yaounde lined up along the road to applaud the two leaders.

The two Heads of State will hold discussions that are expected to be centred around a common strategy to fight against the Boko Haram terrorist group which is presently creating havoc with suicide bombings in the countries of the region.
