The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA has written to French President François HOLLANDE to express his sympathy and condolences following the terrorist attack in Nice on 14 July 2016.
President BIYA wrote that it was with a lot of sadness and sorrow that he learnt of the attacks in Nice on 14 July when the French Nation was celebrating the national day.
President Paul BIYA condemned in very strong terms this cowardly, barbaric and odious act which can in way be justified.
President said in this moments of sorrow and sadness, his thoughts and sympathy go to the family of the victims to whom he expresses sincere and heartfelt condolences while wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
The President reassures the French President of his total support and that of the Cameroonian people to him, the Government and the entire French people so badly affected by this incidence.
Cameroon will resolutely stand besides France in this ruthless fight to preserve peace, tolerance and humanity against lawless terrorists whose only purpose is to promote murderous hatred.
