The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA has sent a message of condolences to the Israeli President in which he states that it was with a lot of emotion that he learnt of the loss of SHIMON PERES, former Israeli President and Nobel Peace laureate.
President BIYA says that SHIMON PERES was a man of reconciliation and a tireless fighter for peace in the Middle East. He was also one of the architects of the Oslo peace agreement.
SHIMON PERES is a historic figure and one of the last generation of the founding fathers of the State of Israel.
President BIYA expresses his sincere condolences, on this solemn occasion, to the family of SHIMON PERES and the bereaved Israeli nation, coupled with the compassion of the Cameroonian people.
