The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and his Equatoguinean counterpart, H.E. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, have signed a cooperation agreement for the exploitation of cross-border oil and gas fields.

The signing ceremony took place at Unity Palace on 17 March 2023 following the 15th session of CEMAC Heads of State Conference.
This important partnership is an exemplary illustration of solidarity that is aimed at strengthening sub-regional integration.
