At the invitation of Madam Irina BOKOVA, Director General of UNESCO, the Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife Madam Chantal BIYA left Yaounde on Sunday 15 November for Paris where for the 38th General Conference of UNESCO which is taking place in the French capital from 16 to 18 November 2015.
The Head of State was received at the Nsimalen International Airport by a high level group of State dignitaries including the President of the Senate, Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI; the Speaker of the National Assembly, CAVAYE YEGUIE DJIBRIL; Prime Minister Philemon YANG; the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Ferdinand NGOH NGOH; the Director of the Civil Cabinet Martin BELINGA EBOUTOU; and several others.
President Paul BIYA had brief audiences with the four personalities, while Madam Chantal BIYA and the spouses of the close collaborators of the Head of State had a chat in the adjacent room.
The participation of the Head of State at the General Conference is testimony of the harmonious relation between Cameroon and UNESCO.
