At the invitation of His Excellency Emmanuel MACRON, President of the French Republic, Mr. Antonio GUTERRES, Secretary-General of the United Nations and Mr. Jim YONG KIM, President of the World Bank Group, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, and his wife Mrs. Chantal BIYA, left Yaounde late this morning, 11 December 2017, for Paris (France) to attend the Summit on Climate Change dubbed "One Planet Summit", which will take place on 12 December 2017.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA joined African Union and European Union leaders in Abidjan – Côte d’Ivoire on 29 November 2017, for the opening ceremony of the 5th AU-EU Summit. Heads of State and Government (representing 55 African countries and 28 European countries), as well as other top international personalities were present at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire. The two-day conclave is holding under the theme: “Investing in youth for a sustainable future”.
The President of the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Paul BIYA, arrived in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on 28 November 2017. The Head of State was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Chantal BIYA, to take part in the 5th African Union - European Union Summit from 29 to 30 November 2017.
