At the invitation of His Excellency BAN KI-MOON, Secretary General of the United Nations, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon arrived New York in the United States of America on Sunday 18 September 2016, by mid-day, with his wife Madam Chantal BIYA, where he will attend the 71st Ordinary Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the invitation of His Excellency BAN KI-MOON, Secretary General of the United Nations, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, left Yaounde on Friday 16 September 2016, by mid-day, accompanied by his wife, Madam Chantal BIYA, to participate at the 71st Ordinary Session of the United Nations General Assembly to hold in New York, in the United States of America.
At the invitation of Nigerian President Muhammadu BUHARI, the Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA is in Abuja to attend the 2nd Regional Summit on Security in Nigeria and the neighbouring countries on 14 May 2016.
Following the Friendly and State Visit of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Cameroon from 29-30 July, 2015 and the acceptance of the invitation of his Nigerian counterpart, His Excellency, Mr. Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon paid a State Visit to the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 3 - 4 May, 2016. His Excellency was accompanied by his wife, Madam Chantal Biya and a delegation of top Government officials.
Relations between Cameroon and Nigeria are on an excellent note as Presidents BUHARI and BIYA are determined to work together for the economic and social development of the two brotherly and friendly countries.

The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul accompanied the Italian President Sergio MATTARELLA to the Nsimalen International airport on Sunday 20 March 2016, for the farewell ceremony to mark the end of the state visit to Cameroon. The strong friendly and cooperation ties between the two countries was reaffirmed in a joint communiqué that was read at the Presidential Lounge and in remarks made by the two Heads of State to the press.
The entire population of Mbalmayo and the Centre d’Orientation Educative came out in huge numbers to welcome the visiting Italian President Sergio MATARELLA on the third day of his state visit to Cameroon.
The Italian President Sergio MATARELLA kicked off the second day of his state visit to Cameroon with a conference at the University of Yaoundé I, where the former university professor gave a lecture on Italy – Cameroon relations. He was instantly given the title of an honorary lecturer of the University of Yaounde I.
