Cameroon's 47-year-old diplomatic ties with the People's Republic of China has witnessed a major boost. This is the outcome of a high-level meeting between President Paul BIYA and His Excellency Xi JINPING on 31 August 2018 in Beijing.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA is in Beijing, venue for the third Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). The Head of State, accompanied by his wife - First Lady Chantal BIYA arrived at the Beijing International Airport on Friday 31 August 2018, at midday local time.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife – Mrs Chantal BIYA are back in Yaounde. They made a to-and-fro trip to Maroua on 29 September 2018, to commune with the population of the Far-North Region ahead of the 7 October presidential election.
At the invitation of H.E. XI JINPING, President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, and his wife Mrs Chantal BIYA, left Yaounde late this morning to take part in the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, from 3 to 4 September 2018.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and wife - Mrs Chantal BIYA are back in Yaounde. They arrived on 25 August 2018 at the Nsimalen International Airport after a brief private stay in Europe.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA held cordial talks with the Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta at the Unity Palace on 17 July 2018. This audience was the climax of His Most Eminent Highness, Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto’s four-day official visit to Cameroon.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA continued his State visit to the People’s Republic of China on Friday 23 March 2018, after his high-level meeting with President Xi JINPING at the Great Hall of the People yesterday. The Head of State met with China’s top legislator, the Head of Government and some Chinese business persons.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs. Chantal BIYA received a magnificent welcome from the President of the People’s Republic of China – H.E. Xi JINPING and his wife at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. This marked the start of the Cameroonian leader’s three-day State visit to the brotherly and friendly country.
