The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and spouse Mrs Chantal BIYA have travelled to Europe for a brief private stay. A special plane carrying the presidential couple and some close aides left the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport at midday on 11 July 2021.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA signed a series of texts on 18 March 2021 to appoint officials of the General Delegation for National Security.
President Paul BIYA signed four decrees on 18 December 2020 to appoint some senior officials in the Ministry of Territorial Administration including: Secretaries-General at Regional Governor's Offices; Inspectors General of Regional Services; Senior Divisional Officers; and Sub-divisional Officers.
The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA has gratified Cameroonian civil servants with the decree harmonising the age limit to go on retirement. Henceforth, all workers of category A and B will retire at the age of 60 (sixty) years, while those of category C and D will retire at 55 (fifty-five) years. This salutary measure is welcome and soothing news for civil servants, irrespective of the profession, as only some of them benefitted from this provision before the signing of this decree.
