Former Permanent Representative of the United States of America at the United Nations, John DIMITRI NEGROPONTE, was received at Unity Palace on Tuesday 2 July 2013 by the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Ferdinand NGOH NGOH, on behalf of the Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA

The former US Ambassador to the United Nations told the press that his coming to Unity Palace was to pay a courtesy visit to the President of the Republic. John NEGROPONTE recalled his acquaintance with the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic and the Director of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, Martin BELINGA EBOUTOU when both personalities were serving at Cameroon’s Representation at the United Nations in New York. He equally revealed that he had business plans that are designed to accompany Cameroon on its quest for economic emergence by 2035.
