Pupils of “Les Coccinelles” School Complex have expressed their profound gratitude to their illustrious patroness – Mrs Chantal BIYA. They seized the opportunity of their end of year ceremony, organised on 18 June 2019, to thank the First Lady for her generosity, motherly love and warm heart throughout the 2018/2019 academic year.
Mrs Chantal BIYA presided over a fascinating march-past to commemorate the 34th edition of the International Women’s Day on 8 March 2019. The First Lady’s presence at the 20th May Boulevard, was eloquent proof of her endorsement of this year’s theme: “Crusade against Gender Inequalities: Committing to the new Impetus.”
The First Lady, Mrs Chantal BIYA received 2019 New Year wishes from the spouses of members of the Diplomatic Corps and National Dignitaries on 10 January 2019.
The First Lady – Mrs. Chantal BIYA shared Christmas presents to nearly 3,000 underprivileged children on 24 December 2018 at the headquarters of the Chantal BIYA Foundation.
The First Lady, Mrs. Chantal BIYA has distributed a multitude of Christmas gifts to over 100 children at the premises of the Applied Research, Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproduction Hospital Centre (CHRACERH). This was during a massively attended Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony organised on 22 December 2018.
