The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA signed a Presidential Decree on 19 December 2014 to set up the composition and functioning of the Follow-up Committee for the three year Contingency Development Plan to be headed by the Prime Minister.
The three year plan that is designed to boost economic growth and improve on the living conditions of Cameroonians will see the construction of roads, low cost housing, hospitals, provincial markets and other infrastructure that will greatly enhance the quality of life in all the ten regions of the country.
Four Cameroonian based banks and one foreign financial institution have already made available the 925 billion francs required to carry out these projects, in a show of the strong confidence that the private sector has for the government.
