The leaders of Africa assembled today at the State Department in Washington D.C. for the summit that was personally presided over by the host leader, President Barack OBAMA. The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and his peers made history as they signed present for the maiden come together between the United States of America and Africa.

President Paul BIYA arrived the State Department at 10 a.m. and immediately took up his position in the meeting hall. The President of the Republic was accompanied by a delegation consisting of:

-         Pierre MOUKOKO MBONJO, Minister of External Relations;

-         Martin BELINGA EBOUTOU, Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet;

-         Louis Paul MOTAZE, Minister Secretary General of the Prime Minister’s Services;

-         NGANOU NDJOUMESSI, the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development;

-         Emmanuel MBONDE, Minister of Mines, Industrial Development and Technological Development;

-         Issa BAKARY CHIROMA, Minister of Communication;

-         Paul ATANG NJI, Minister at the Presidency in Charge of Special Duties.

The Cameroonian leader made an important contribution during the session discussions in which he said that the future of Africa can only be with peace and security and referred to Boko Haram as a transnational insurgency. President Paul BIYA made it clear that adequate measures had been taken to eradicate this scourge. Indeed the President of the Republic categorically declared that the development of Africa cannot take place without peace.
