President Paul BIYA and First Lady Chantal BIYA were among the top guests of a Welcome Reception, hosted by His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation on 27 July 2023, in honour of the participating Heads of State and Government in the second Russia-Africa Summit in St.Petersburg, Russia.
The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs. Chantal BIYA landed at the Pulkovo airport in Saint Petersburg at about 8h 50 today morning (6h 50 in Yaounde) for the Russia – Africa summit. They were greeted on arrival by Cameroon’s Ambassador to Russia, H.E. Mahamat Paba Sale and some Russian Foreign Ministry and local officials.
