Mrs Chantal BIYA met with a 10-man delegation of experts in gynaecological endoscopy at the East Wing of Unity Palace on 30 September 2022.
This was on the sidelines of the second edition of an international congress on this medical specialty organised at the Yaounde Conference Centre this week under the auspices of the Paul and Chantal BIYA Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproductive Teaching Hospital (CHRACERH).
Speaking to reporters, the head of the delegation, Professor Jean Marie Kasia said they presented a report on the work done throughout their one-week assembly.
“All the specialists who were with me here know the First Lady and her engagement in the fight against HIV/AIDS, fertility problems and endoscopic surgery,” he said.
On her part, Mrs Chantal BIYA thanked them for all what they have been doing for Cameroon. She said they will always be welcomed in order to strengthen the capacity of Cameroonian doctors.
The First Lady equally exchanged ideas on issues related to insurance security and the specialists promised to study this problem and make proposals.
