President Paul Biya and his wife Mrs Chantal Biya returned to the nation’s capital today from Russia where they participated at the 2nd Russia - African Summit. They landed at the Nsimalen International Airport in Yaoundé shortly after 9 pm. on Sunday 30 July 2023.
At the foot of the aircraft, the Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute and the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, were on hand to welcome the Head of State and his wife.
Large crowds of cheering party militants were also present at the Nsimalen international airport and the esplanade of Unity Palace to grace the return of the Presidential Couple.
The President of the Republic had a brilliant participation at the summit in Saint Petersburg, which culminated with a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He boldly and clearly spelt out Africa’s position on world issues and challenges.
