The President of the Republic, Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency Paul BIYA signed five decrees on Monday 20 April 2015 attributing the Cross of Military Valour and the Medal of Valour to several officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces and to military units involved in the fight against the Boko Hara m terrorist group. President Paul BIYA also signed a decree granting two annuities to members of the Armed Forces who were in service between 17 May 2014 and 24 April 2015.
These measures come barely a few weeks after the Head of State took similar measures on the 1st April 2015 in honour of soldiers engaged in the war against Boko Haram.
