Pupils of “Les Coccinelles” School Complex of the Unity Palace were honoured on 21 December 2021 with the presence of their patroness – First Lady Chantal BIYA during their traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Mrs Chantal Biya, patroness of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour, attended the closing ceremony of the 4th stage (Zoétélé - Nkpwang - Meyomessala - 116.7 kilometres) on Saturday 9 October 2021. This stage of the competition was won by Slovakian cyclist Kubis Lukas, who also took the yellow jersey.
First Lady Mrs Chantal Biya attended the closing ceremony of the 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in France on Saturday 17 July 2021. The jury of the festival was chaired by Spike Lee, an American director of Cameroonian origin. The wife of the Head of State took part in the traditional red carpet ceremony followed by the coronation of Julia Ducournau, French director and screenwriter - who won the Palme d'Or for her film "Titane".
