On Monday 5 November 2018, First Lady Chantal BIYA paid a surprise visit to the Applied Research, Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproduction Hospital Centre, better known by the French acronym CHRACERH.
Mrs Chantal BIYA, founding President of the African Synergy against AIDS and Suffering, has appended her signature to the Beijing Declaration on the fight against HIV/AIDS. This was during a summit hosted by Mrs Peng Liyuan, spouse of the Chinese President, on 4 September 2018 at Fanghua Villa – Diayutai State Guest House.
During the official opening ceremony of the 2018 FOCAC Summit, the First Lady of Cameroon was welcomed at the Great Hall of the People where she joined the other spouses of Heads of State and Government. The African and Chinese leaders and their spouses later posed for a family photo.
Pupils of the Coccinelles school complex at the Unity Palace have received numerous prizes from the First Lady, Mrs Chantal BIYA to mark the start of the third term holidays. This was during the 18th end-of-year ceremony organised at the campus on 29 June 2018 to reward them for their excellent performances in the 2017/2018 academic year.
The commemoration of the 46th National Day in Yaounde ended with a State banquet offered by the Head of State H.E. Paul BIYA and his wife – Mrs. Chantal BIYA at the Unity Palace.
