The Head of State signed a decree on 28 August 2023 to lay down the reorganisation and functioning of the National Employment Fund (NEF). The Fund is in-charge of Government’s policy on the promotion of employment, self-employment and the integration of job seekers in Cameroon. NEF is administered by two major organs: the Board of Directors and the General Management.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA braved the rainny weather in Paris this Thursday 22 June 2023 to attend the opening ceremony of the summit for new global financial pact at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. The Head of State was received at the summit venue by Madam Catherine Colonna, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs Chantal BIYA arrived Paris on Wednsday 21 June 2023 to attend the summit for a new financial pact organised in the French capital. Cameroon’s Ambassador to France Andre Magnus Ekoumou was on hand at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport to welcome them. On hand at the airport grounds was an enthusiastic crowd ready to celebrate the presence of the Presidential Couple in Paris.

In continuation of the diplomatic ceremonies that started last week, the President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA received letters of accreditation from another batch of six Ambassadors at the Unity Palace on Friday 9 June 2023. The event started at 2.00 pm when the Ambassador of Spain to Cameroon, His Excellency Ignacio Rafael Garcia Lumbreras arrived at the courtyard of Unity Palace, where a guard of honour mounted by the Presidential Guard was already in place.

The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA was today Friday 2nd June 2023 at the centre of a hectic diplomatic ceremony at Unity Palace during which he received letters of accreditation from five Ambassadors recently posted to Cameroon. These included the Ambassadors of Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Korea, Belgium, Tunisia and Turkiye.
