The Italian President Sergio MATARELLA kicked off the second day of his state visit to Cameroon with a conference at the University of Yaoundé I, where the former university professor gave a lecture on Italy – Cameroon relations. He was instantly given the title of an honorary lecturer of the University of Yaounde I.
The President of the Republic of Italy His Excellency Sergio MATTARELLA was received on arrival at the Nsimalen International airport by the Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA in a bright and colourful ceremony that shows the friendly cooperation ties between the two countries. The event included a beautiful bouquet of flowers, full military honours and a twenty-one gun salute that makes concrete the state visit accorded to the high guest of honour.

At the invitation of His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Sergio MATTARELLA, President of the Italian Republic, will pay a State Visit to Cameroon from 17 to 20 March 2016.
The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and First Lady Chantal BIYA returned returned to Yaounde after a brilliant participation at the United Nations Conference on climate change COP21 in Paris.
The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife Madam Chantal BIYA arrived the French capital Paris on Saturday 28 November 2015 where he will join other world leaders for the 21st UN conference on climate change.
Following his speech (read) at the Leaders Forum of UNESCO at celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the organisation, the President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA, who was accompanied by the First Lady Madam Chantal BIYA, was again present at the seat of UNESCO at Place Fontenoy on Tuesday 17 November 2015 as other speakers took to the rostrum. The Head of State also had audience with the Director General of UNESCO, Madam Irina BOKOVA, despite her charged programme.
The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BIYA arrived Paris on Sunday 15 November 2015. At the airport to receive the Presidential were a couple of officials, including the Chargée d’Affaires a.i. at the Cameroon Embassy in Paris, Jean Joseph Atangana, and French authorities.
