The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA granted audience at Unity Palace to Arnaud DJOUBAYE ABAZENE, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation and special envoy from President Michel DJOTODIA of the Central African Republic, on Monday 29 July 2013
Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, Mr. Arnaud DLOUBAYE ABAZENE said that he was bearer of a sealed message from the President of the Central African Republic to the President of the Republic of Cameroon. He described relations between Cameroon and the Central African Republic as very cordial.
Talking on skirmishes that have been reported along the borders of the two countries, the Central African envoy said that it is all was being done to normalise the situation. He indicated that his country counted so much on the expertise of Cameroon, which was one of the first countries to send troops oversee security of persons and goods in the capital city of Bangui.
It should be recalled that the current President of Central African Republic took over the leadership of that country on 24 March 2013 when the Seleka rebels he was leading overthrew then President François BOZIZE.
