Ambassador Zubairu Dada, Nigeria’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was received in audience by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA on 21 May 2021.
The Nigerian emissary was bearer of a sealed message from President Muhammadu Buhari of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Speaking to reporters after the one-hour meeting at the Unity Palace, Ambassador Zubairu Dada said Cameroon and Nigeria share so much in common.
“Apart from the fact that we have these artificial boundaries between us, we are actually the same people. Whatever affects Nigeria affects Cameroon by extension and vice versa,” he said.
Cameroon and Nigeria are strategic partners in the fight against the Boko Haram terrorist group through the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
