The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA granted audience on 16 April 2013 to the leader of the AU observer mission of the senatorial elections, Mr. EDEM KODJO, at Unity Palace
Speaking to the press after more than an hour of discussions with the Head of State, the leader of the AU observer mission and former Secretary General of OAU and Prime Minister of Togo; expressed his hapiness for the visit to Cameroon and the vision and foresight of President Paul BIYA. He saud they discussed mostly issues on the vision for the African continent and the challenges that have to be faced.
Speaking on the election he came to observe, Mr. KODJO said he will be making a full statement to the press later, but added that on the whole the process was satisfactory. He said it was a good thing to give praise when it is due, and that Cameroon's experience was an example to be followed.
